She was predeceased by: her children, Paul, Robert Jr., Leon, Roosvelt, Evangline, Marshall, Thomas and Theodore; her former husband Harold Simpkins; and her parent Mable Henrietta Simpkins.
She is survived by: her aunt Rosco Bridges; her adoptive son Carlton Reginald Gillis; her caregiver Linnis Wallace; her aunt Mable (Linnis); her sisters-in-law, Mary Wallace (Baltimore, MD), Ann Wallace (Washington, DC) and Carol Wallace of Newburn, NC; her cousins, Eva Petty-McCall (Spiritual Daughter), Bishop Michael Boddie, Apostle Ernest Quick Jr. (Long-Time Pastor), True Believers and Antioch Bibleway Church; and also, Jeremiah and Sinnil. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the True Believers Pentecostal Glorious Church of God (5670 Central Ave SE, Washington, DC 20019). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery (8401 Bladensburg Rd, Bladensburg, MD 20722).
