She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Earl Hodges and Mary Louise Hodges; her husband Don Simons (Donnie); her children, Donielle Avery Simons of Glenn Dale, Maryland and Kenneth Stevland-Martin Simons of Washington, D. C; and her sister Karin Earlene Hodges of Brooklyn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Of Glenarden - Ministry Center (3600 Brightseat Rd, Lanham, MD 20785). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
