He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Shahin Nouraei; his children, Leyla Rahjou-Esfandiary (Siamak Esfandiary), Shiva Barimani (Ali Barimani) and Ali Rahjoo (Saba Aghapour); and his grandchildren, Monelli, Ava, Ashkan and Kian.
A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (3001 R St NW, Washington, DC 20007).
