Helen Brooks Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2020, at the age of 77, Helen Brooks (Washington, District of Columbia) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Brooks to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Witherall Verdell and Joseph Doores, Sr.; her husband Willie H. Brooks; her brother Joseph Doores Jr.; her great grandchild Candise Brooks; and her close friend Nevelyn Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Isaac Rashan Brooks (LaToya), Berlinda Brooks of Virginia and Carlos Brooks (Gina); her grandchildren, Derrick, Brittany, Mandy, Cameron, Alicia, Ayana, Jamaree, John and Shawn; her siblings, Marianna Doores of Maryland, Melza Doores-Sykes of Maryland, Lenora Fendell of Maryland, Frances Frye of Maryland, Lawrence Doores (Kathleen) and Garcia Doores of Virginia; her sisters-in-law, Helen Durham of Fort Wayne and Verlene Brown of Maryland; and her goddaughters, Karen Scott of Virginia and Tiffany Walton of Maryland. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
It was almost as if God allowed her to use her experiences from early salvation until now to help further grow and sustain the foundation being laid by Pastor Pennington.
