He was predeceased by: his wife Jaunice Ann Yates; and his son Ricardo Anthony Yates. He is survived by: his children, Francis Robert Yates, Jr. (Agnes), Mitzi Yates Lizarraga (Rafael), Kim Johnson (late Anthony), Kelli Yates (Ulysses), Jacy Yates, Trina Brown (Philip), Eric Mathis and Otis Cortier Ware; and his close friend Fern Underdue. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, eight bonus grandchildren and 16 bonus great grandchildren.
