He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wharton, Jr. and Frances Felton Wharton; his former wife Marie; and his brother Charles A. Wharton III. He is survived by: his sisters, Shiree Wharton Slade (Donta), Denise Wharton and Stephanie Thomas (James). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Memorial United Methodist Church (4625 G St SE, Washington, DC 20019).
