He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond (Ed) and Hazel; and his siblings, Oliver (Kenneth), Carl, Helen, James, Harold, Roy and Norman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, David Briggs, Jr. (Mary), Laura Briggs (Riad), John Briggs (Hisayo) and Cynthia Sagendorph; and his grandchildren, Aidan, Leila, Alex, Colin, Miyako, Shigeo and Jason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
