It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leonard Ayers Jr. of Yalesville, Connecticut, born in Montpelier, Vermont, who passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sr. Ayers and Evelyn Ayers (Slayton). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Ayers (Winslow); his children, Derek Ayers (Rachele) of Wallingford and Charlotte Suitor (Kurt) of Tolland; his grandchildren, Ethan, Trenton and Corrina; his sisters, Evangeline Moffatt (Andrew) of Craftsbury, VT and Dawna Hull (Howard) of Lillian, AL; and also Renee Janes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Grace & St. John's Episcopal Church in Hamden or the Antique Veterans in Meriden.
