He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Altdorf Koehl; his sister Gerda (Richard Harrington); his daughter Denise Koehl; his nephew Richard Harrington Jr.; and his cousin Tao Altdorf.
He is survived by: his wife Christina Haiss Koehl; his son Jeff Koehl; his grandchildren, Colin Koehl (Lauren) and Kendyl Hanna; his nephew Ethan Aspiras; his sister Emmy DeGregorio (Joe); his nieces and nephews, Susan DeGregorio, Michael DeGregorio, David DeGregorio (Joseph "Kyle" DeGregorio), Patricia Graham and Kevin Harrington; and his cousin Julia Altdorf. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
