He was predeceased by: his spouse Esther Carlage (Conley); his parent John Carlage; and his siblings, Frank, Marie Bednarz and Elsie Ruda.
He is survived by: his parent Sophie Carlage (Smolen); and his children, Bruce Carlage (Michele), Sharon Wojcik (Michael Staples) and Dean Carlage (Debra). He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
