He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Phoenix and Carmine Sue Phoenix (Boynton); his wife Catherine (Jankura); and his children, David (Gayle), Paul (Lindsay) of Philomath, OR, Nancy (Chris) of Dayville, CT. and Loretta (Ken). He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
