He was predeceased by: his wife Mary D. Vitale; his siblings, Frank, Ralph, Michael, Nicholas, Andrew, Ann, Elizabeth and Mary; and his parents, Elpidio Vitale and Genevieve P. Vitale.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Laura Vitale (Chris Wahrenburg), Amanda Waddicor (Nicholas), Michael Fiondella, Nicholas Fiondella (Alyssa), Mary Rose Fiondella and John Paul Vitale; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Ryan Wahrenburg, Owen and Iris Waddicor.
