He was predeceased by: his father George F. Giering II. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine (Gerri); his son George IV; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; his grandsons, Samuel and Jason; and his mother Ethel Warner Giering. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Connecticut Hospice, Connecticut Alzheimer's Association, or American Red Cross in George's memory.
