He was predeceased by: his sister Ann Amelia Proto. He is survived by: his wife Antoinette "Nettie" Console Proto; his children, Frank Proto, Susan Lombardi (Michael), Louis Proto (Kathy) and Paul Proto (Marcia); his sister Grace Iovene; his grandchildren, Dominic, Diana Proto, Nicholas Lombardi, Danielle Proto Cappetta, Michael Lombardi, Jr., Samantha Lombardi Girardin, Anthony, Amelia and Nathaniel Proto; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Proto, Ava Lombardi, Timothy Proto, Marco, Lucia Lombardi, Stella Girardin and Camilla Lombardi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
