He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. McAvoy and Mary McAvoy (Berry). He is survived by: his wife Judith M. McAvoy (Nezir); his children, Timothy J. McAvoy (Goknur) of Wolcott, Terri M Brown (Richard) of Waterbury and Judi A. Surowiec (Frank) of Wolcott; his grandchildren, Cem McAvoy (Caitlyn), Matthew Brown, Ryan Brown and Evan Surowiec; and his great grandchild Scarlett McAvoy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
