With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruthild Michaelis of Wolcott, Connecticut, who passed away on September 25, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Gunther Michaelis; her parents, Hans Spittel and Hilde Spittel (Gernhardt); her sisters, Edith (Wilhelm Ammerer) of Stony Creek and Brunhild Bias of Germany; and her brothers-in-law, Jon Sonnenberg of Southington and Hans Labsche of Germany.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia McCarthy (John), Carl Michaelis (Lori Howe) of Easley and Thomas Michaelis of Greeneville; and her sisters, Thea Sonnenberg of Southington, Gertraud Labsche of Germany and Irmtraud Labsche (Dieter) of Germany. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
