He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Shove (Baldoni); his parents, George W. Shove and Ellen Shove (French); his sister Mary Ellen Burns (Shove); and his son Robert W. Shove, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Chance (Wayne) of Wolcott and Matthew Shove of West Haven; and his grandchildren, Chloe, Lauren, Caleb Chance and Summer Skye Shove. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
