She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Heidi Hemmingway and David Gonzalez (Patricia); her husband Timothy Smith; her children, Jacob, Declan Smith and Josephine Smith; her brother David Gonzlez; her parents-in-law, George and Deborah Smith; and her brother-in-law Chris (Colleen Smith).

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gregory the Great Church (85 Great Plain Rd, Danbury, CT 06811). The military honors was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Peters Cemetery (71 Lake Ave Ext, Danbury, CT 06810).

“Jen, it feels like just yesterday we were having sleepovers, listening to Linkin Park, writing notes, having adventures and sharing stories as kids. I am devastated and heartbroken by this news, but you've always been a fighter and I know how much you loved your family and friends.
