He is survived by: his fiancé Kelley Knowles; his sons, Jason Hayes (Jessica) of Little River, SC and Stephen Hayes of Houston, TX; his granddaughter Lauren Hayes of Little River, SC; and his siblings, Patrick Hayes, Jr., Brenda O'Shea of Bristol and Darlene Hayes of Waterbury.
