He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Goewey and Doris Goewey (Yorker); and his son Robert "Bobby" Goewey, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Goewey (Decker); his children, Christine Goewey (Bryan Raydenbow) of Winsted and Edward Goewey (Diane) of Winsted; his grandchildren, Christopher Goewey, Racheal Goewey-Raydenbow and Bobby Goewey; and his siblings, Nelson Goewey (Charlotte) of Goshen and Caroline Brown (Robert) of Winsted. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
