We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2021, at the age of 71, Leon J. DuPrey Sr. (Winsted, Connecticut) passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Duprey and Cecilia Duprey (Gilbert); his brother Larry Duprey; and his nephew Shawn Duprey. He is survived by: his wife Theresa "Tina" Duprey (Marek); his sons, Leon J. Duprey, Jr. (Lisa) of Torrington and Lyle Duprey (Kristin Robison) of Torrington; his grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Nicholas, Natalie and Luka; his sister Lorraine Gangi (Joe) of Torrington; his siblings-in-law, Diane Duprey of Torrington, Debbie Rivers of Torrington and Michael Marek of Torrington; and his pet Tigger. He is also survived by three nieces, 1 great niece and two great nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 5 – 7 PM; following the CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at St. Francis Church, Torrington at 11 AM; also following social distancing and masks required.
