Joy E. Armstrong Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy E. Armstrong (Winsted, Connecticut), who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Armstrong; her parents, Nicholas Sansone and Viola Sansone (Hale); her grandson Matthew Melanson; and her sisters, Mary Osterman, Betty Slabysz and Anna Carlson.
She is survived by: her children, Holly Martucci (James) of Simsbury, Lisa Jean Rickevicius of Colebrook, Tracey Melanson (Marc) of Simsbury, Joseph Armstrong, Brenda Armstrong-Ritterpusch (Bobby) and Sunny Armstrong. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Montano-Shea Funeral Home (922 Main St, Winsted, CT 06098). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal shelter of donor's choice in her name.
