With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Gilchrest (Winsted, Connecticut), born in Gatesville, Texas, who passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gilchrest and Ruby Gilchrest (Braziel); his sister Belva Perkins; and his nieces, Karen and Cindy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lacy Gilchrest (Richard Page) of East Hartford, Leslie Mack (Lenny) of Granby and Elena Knutson (Del) of Pleasant Valley; and his sister Cheryl Eary (Delton). He is also survived by grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; and three nieces and one nephew.
Following the CDC guidelines for COVID prevention, masks are required and social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Freedom Service Dogs of America or charity of your choice in his name.
