Surdam, III, Benjamin Surdam (Julie) of Winsted, Cindy Noel (Derek) of Torrington and Dawn Colgan (Dennis) of New Hartford; his grandchildren, Megan, Stephanie, Ali, Corey, Kristen, Derek, Jr., Samantha, Jessica, Courtney, Brandon and Daron; his sister Kathleen "Kathy" Michaud (Michael) of Harwinton; and his nieces, Chrissy and Michelle. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
