He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Lagassie and Jeannette Lagassie (Morin); his grandson Frederick "Ricky" Lagassie, III; and his siblings, Oscar Lagassie and Della Purcell.
He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Lagassie (Hankamp); his children, Frederick F. Lagassie, Jr. of Winsted, James Lagassie (Linda) of Barkhamsted and Michelle Sanchez (Marco); and his sister Zelda Billings. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
