He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Holmes and Laura Holmes (Wohlery); his brothers, Robert W. Holmes and Peter Holmes; his nephew Peter Holmes, Jr.; and his niece Leslie Holmes.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary Ann Holmes of Winsted; his nephew Robert M. Holmes (Debra); and his nieces, Karen Cornell (Brian) of Torrington, Lisa Holmes of Winsted, Burgin Darling of Torrington and Anita Holmes of Riverton.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Montano-Shea Funeral Home (922 Main St, Winsted, CT 06098). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
