It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doreen M. Stacy (Winsted, Connecticut), who passed away on November 20, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" J. Stacy; her parents, Raymond C. Varney and Doris Varney (Anderson); her daughter Melissa Stacy; her brother Raymond E. Varney; her parents-in-law, Richard and Mary Stacy; her daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Stacy; her siblings-in-law, Helen Maxwell, Doris Wetmore, Elizabeth Sullivan, David Reeve, Paul Maxwell, Clark Sisson and Robert Wetmore; her niece Susan Wetmore; and her nephew Brian Wetmore.
She is survived by: her children, Richard L. Stacy (Kathy) of Winsted, Teresa Stacy (Clinton Hoxie) of Winsted and Michael P. Stacy (Kim) of Winsted; her granddaughters, Melissa Woodtke (Rob), Rachael Grohs of Winsted, Amanda Hoxie of Winsted and Brianna Stacy of Winsted; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Emma Woodtke, Aubree Morin, Brooklynn Mallette and Colbe Pape; her siblings, Patty Sisson of Torrington, Diane Doyle, Anita Lafavere and Wayne Varney of Torrington; and her sister-in-law Barbara Reeve. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted at 11 AM; following the CDC guidelines for social distancing, masks required and if you are not feeling well please stay home.
