He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William and Alice Summers Jr. (Naughton); his wife Elizabeth Summers; his siblings, Stuart Summers (Bee) of Oro Valley, AZ and Janet Jope (Bruce) of Portland, CT; his sons, William Summers IV (Patty) of Spring, TX, Walter Summers (Andrea) of Manchester, CT, Wesley Summers (Susan) of New Hampton, NY and Wade Summers (Laura) of Southington, CT; his grandchildren, Ashley (Jake), Corey, Katelyn (Bryan), Alexandra, William V, Zachary, Nathaniel and Kieran; and his great grandchild Jackson. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private and memorial contributions may be made to the PGA First Tee Foundation (firsttee.org).
