She was predeceased by: her husband Paul H. Mikkelson, Sr.; her parents, Veronica Crossen (Sipples) and William Crossen; her siblings, Beatrice Czellecz, Doris Scully, Joan Heller, William, James, Robert and John Crossen; and her cousin Audrey Schaller.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Mikkelson (Ann) of Simsbury, Durlene Mikkelson (Richard Basile) of Glastonbury, Gary Mikkelson (Karen Goldfinger) of Essex and Diane Zito (Richard) of Southwick, MA; her grandchildren, David Mikkelson (Jen), Liz Mikkelson Lockwood (Mark), Caitlin Munsie (Timothy), Erin Basile, Michael Basile, Dillan Mikkelson-Wilding (Jessica), Ainsley Mikkelson-Wilding (Raul Montes), Richard Zito Jr. (Jillian), Steven Zito (Jackie) and Gregory Zito (Mikaela); her great grandchildren, Tommy, Grace, Natalie, Easton, Beckham, Ari, Lyra, Maggie, Carmie, Wyatt, Aloura, Daniella, Michael, Jack and Zoe; her sisters, Bernadette Sadownick (David) of North Windham and Judy LaPier Burnett of Texas; and her sister-in-law Linda Crossen. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
