Though Sylvia Rose may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sylvia Rose touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Peter F. Kosak. She is survived by: her sons, Paul Kosak (Anouk van der Boor) of Boston and David Kosak (Kate) of West Simsbury; her grandchildren, Madeline, Joey and Matthew; her sister Jane Malecki of Enfield; and her sister-in-law Agnes Soltis of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Church (33 West St, Vernon, CT 06066). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery (1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT 06002).
