She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille VandeWater and Emerson VandeWater; her brother John "Jack" VandeWater; and her stepsister Carol Anderson. She is survived by: her husband Glenn; her children, Albert G. Abbott (Patricia) of Cape Vincent, NY, Edith M. Abbott of Rockville and Thomas D. Abbott (Evangeline) of Mansfield; her grandchildren, Amanda Abbott, Nathaniel Abbott (Lisa), Jay Abbott, Sara Abbott, Carolyn Schimmelfing (John) and Emily Abbott; and her stepsiblings, Sheila Buckingham (Rodney) and Steven VandeWater.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
