He was predeceased by: his parents, Corine Jones-Harris and Johnny Leaphart; his cousin Mack Tolland; his uncle Vernon "Rick" Harris; his brothers, Ira Jones, Vincent Harris, William "Ray" Leaphart and DeMarco "Coot" Mitchell; his mother-in-law Elizabeth Shepard; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Shepard.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Shepard-Harris; his daughters, Shauntelle Harris of Windsor, CT and Talea Harris of Hartford, CT; his stepfather Coleman Harris; his siblings, Henry "Butch" Harris (Vanessa) of Virginia Beach, VA, George Leaphart (Tracey) of Hartford, CT, Abbie Gail Harris of Hartford, CT and Johnnie Leaphart (Nukie) of Rockville; his father-in-law Rufus Shepard, Sr.; and his friends, Jerry Curry, Rufus Oten, Terry Allen, Butch Hoyt and Kerry Foster.
