He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Keyes and Geraldine Keyes; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; and his children, Paul (Maria), Nancy, Janet, Margaret Beckstoffer and Katherine Anderson. He is also survived by her 4 cats.
He served the Yale Alumni Fund for over 50 years, contacting classmates for annual donations.
