She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Gates and Margaret Gates (Kelley); and her siblings, Austin Gates and Doris Turcotte. She is survived by: her children, Thomas (Cindy), Barbara (Lee), Terry, Tim (Lisa), Kate, Nancy (John), Jim and Maureen; her sister Jeane Jacobson; her grandchildren, Daniel (Tammy), Eileen (Shawn), Roy, Leah, Hannah, Michelle (Brandon), Bonnie, Martin (Kate), Christopher, Abbey and Emily; and her great grandchildren, Cassidy, Taylin, Kendall and Nora. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
