He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Lee Ellis; his daughter Kathleen "Kate" Blaney; and his father-in-law William Ellis. He is survived by: his children, Bill Blaney of East Hartford and Leah Blaney (Chris) of Vernon; his siblings, Michael (Sonja Blaney), Patrick (Denyse Blaney), Daniel (Mary Blaney) and Christine (Richard Dalton); and his mother-in-law Jane Ellis of Athol, MA.. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald MacDonald House or to the American Cancer Society.
