He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F Patterson Sr. and Inez Williams Patterson; and his brother John C. Patterson. He is survived by: his son Derek Patterson (Jackie); his grandchildren, Alexandria, Nessa, Izabella, Derek Jr., Joseph and Josiah; his son David Patterson (Melissa); his grandchildren, Anthony and Cecilia Louise; his great grandchildren, Michelle Jones, Kimberly Jones and Russell Jones; his nephew John C Patterson, Jr.; and his cousins, Phillip Venable and Grecco Bush. He is also survived by extended family, and a myriad of friends.
Donations can be made in Joe's honor to the Joseph F. Patterson, Jr. Scholarship at Lawrence University.
