With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Alan Strother of Windsor, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on January 23, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughters, Kathleen Louise (Kate), Jean Marie and Nancy Ann. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Teresa Kim and Bonnie Lee Schmittberger; his children, Christopher Laurence and Jennifer Christina Kelly; his sons-in-law, Richard Tushingham (Dick) and Laurence Kelly (Larry); his grandchildren, Teresa Kim Harrold, Bonnie Lee Marlow, Christopher Laurence and Jennifer Christina Kelly; his great grandchildren, Nolan Eugene Harrold, Violet Paige, Ashton Paul Kelly and Riley Elizabeth Marlow; and his siblings, Gordon Henry Strother, Mary Alice Peachman and Margaret Jane Gillies (Peg). He is also survived by daughters and their spouses.
John was a miracle of patience, resourcefulness, and resilience, especially during the difficult years of the covid pandemic.
Fortunately, despite the ravages of Alzheimer's, Terry's essential kindness and empathetic nature remained.
