He was predeceased by: his son Brian Giard; and his brother Raymond Giard. He is survived by: his wife Carole Giard; his sons, Douglas (Joan Giard), Scott (Kathy Giard) and Bruce (Kim Giard); his daughter-in-law Janice; his grandchildren, Amy Pichette (Steve), David Souza (Jenn), Nicole Kulpa (Steve), Michael Giard (Laura) and Anthony Giard; and his sister Lucille Riley (Dick) of South Windsor.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bernard Church (25 St Bernard's Terrace, Vernon, CT 06066). A burial will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Bernard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
