He is survived by: his wife Laura Jean Dickerson (Henson); his daughter Susan Dickerson Lyons (William Werth) of Enfield; his grandsons, Michael Lyons (Stephania) of Enfield, David Matthew Lyons (Elizabeth) of East Longmeadow, MA and Richard Lyons, II (Alycea Landry) of Broad Brook; his great grandchildren, Norah Adele Lyons, Michael Lyons, Jr., Nolan Lyons, Landon Lyons, Richard Lyons, III and Benjamin Lyons; and his brothers, Douglas Dickerson (Francine) and Jerry Joseph Dickerson (Thuy) of Willington. He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
