He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Mendonca and Deolinda DeMelo Mendonca; and his granddaughter Sadie Bea Roy. He is survived by: his wife Maria Conceicao; his children, Danny DeMelo (Crystal) of Port St, Sandy Roy (Kevin) of Windsor and Steve DeMelo of Windsor Locks; his grandchildren, Kailie, Patric DeMelo, Breanna, Hayden, Trevor, Eli, Piper and Jace Roy; and his siblings, Maria Fatima Marques of West Hartford, Maria Mendonca (Manuel) of Newington, Irene Mendonca of New Britain, Maria Luz Marques (Joaquim) of South Windsor, Jose Melo (Margaret) of Vernon, John Mendonca of Florida and Leonora Rainha (Joe) of Glastonbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
