He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Spyies Sr. and Annie German Spyies. He is survived by: his daughter Dianna C. Gaither of Windsor, CT; his grandsons, David A. Gaither Jr., Derrick Gaither of West Springfield and Daniel Gaither (Suzanne) of Windsor, CT; his great grandchildren, Joshua Gaither and Zachary Gaither; and his sister Lulu Montgomery of Clearwater Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
