He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Thompson Sr. and Pauline Thompson (Parker); his wife Barbara Beaulieu; and his siblings, Newton Thompson Jr. (Tiny) and Paula Mansfield.
He is survived by: his daughter Laurie (Rick); his grandsons, Matthew (Veronica) of Windsor Locks, Joshua (Lexi) of Windsor Locks and Andrew Blouin of Windsor Locks; and his siblings, Charlotte Eastman of Florida, Pearl Flynn of Indian Orchard, MA and Kenneth of South Carolina. He is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Connecticut Humane Society.
