She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Kurlick and John Kurlick; her husband Thomas F. Garvey of West Springfield, MA; and her siblings, Frank, Mike, Paul, John and Ann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Mulkern (Michael) of Houston, Rosanne Smyle (Michael) of Stonington, Paula Garvey Bird of Boston and Lisa Garvey of East Granby; and her grandsons, Matthew Mulkern (Marta), Kevin Mulkern (Zena), Fred and Emmett Bird. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In her memory, donations can be made to the care of cats and dogs in your local animal shelter.
