He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Shea and Mary Shea (Heslin); his former wife Elaine Shea (Swift); his son-in-law David Weyman; and his brothers, Charles and John Shea.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Shea (Torre); his children, Robert Shea, Jr. of California, Linda Champagne of Windsor Locks, Suzanne Toohey (Jay) of Enfield, William Shea (Vanise) of Windsor Locks, Colleen Ceballos (Fernando) of Enfield and Kathleen Marth of Vernon; his stepchildren, John Rook of Enfield, Maureen Massucci (Steve) of Southington, Michael Rook (Cynthia) of Windsor and Marybeth Pierce (Robert) of Florida; and his sister-in-law Betty Shea of Clinton. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
