She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Kozyra and Mary Kozyra (Ostrowski); and her siblings, Benjamin, Edward Kozyra, Blanche Cwikla and Clara Bloch.
She is survived by: her children, David Machernis (Regina) of Milford, Nancy Machernis of Windsor Locks and James Machernis of Hartford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
