He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence E. Girard and Carol Girard (Garvulenski); and his sister Michele Girard. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Girard (Henderson); his son Charles; his siblings, Edward Girard (Kathleen) of Enfield and Yvette Jones (Jim); and his sister-in-law Lori Ferreira (Anthony) of Windsor Locks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
