She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Merlo Jr.; her son Raymond Merlo III of Windsor Locks, CT.; and her siblings, Joanne Z. Lulek, Jacquelyn Russo-Cafarelli and Charles J. Zenzick Jr. (Chick).
She is survived by: her children, Regina Flynn (Michael) of Windsor Locks, CT, Ronnie Merlo (Rachel) of West Wareham, MA and Ryan Merlo (Kelly) of South Windsor, CT.; her sister Joyce Wojtas of Windsor Locks; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Merlo (Tricia), Christine Miarecki of Broad Brook, CT, Gail Sweeney of Broad Brook, CT and Marian Higgins of Granby, CT. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Janet was a working mom from day 1 and managed to have a 50+ year career in the Trucking Industry as a terminal manager until the pandemic sidelined her into retirement.
