She is survived by: her spouse Talbot "Stu" Sturgis; her children, Judy Harmon (Wayne) of Pennsylvania, Sharon Newberg (Dick) of Florida, Robert Sturgis (Donna) of Windsor Locks and Janice Sturgis of Windsor Locks; and her grandchildren, Steve Harmon (Sandy) of Pennsylvania, Brian McManus (Carolyn) of Delaware, David McManus (Lauralyn) of Maryland, John Brooks (Catherine) of Missouri, Thomas Brooks (Lisa) of Vermont, Nicole DePascale (Jeff) of Ellington, Heather Severino (Paul) of Florida and Bryan Sturgis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home (441 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (220 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen's name to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, the Veterans Administration, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
