It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James M. Shifrin (Windham, Connecticut), who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his child Bailey Theresa; and his parents, Albert P. Shifrin and V. Flora Shifrin. He is survived by: his spouse Mary-Grace; his children, Cooper James and Nevaeh Maria Rose; his siblings, Albert "Chick" Shifrin, Salvatore "Sam" Shifrin and Mary Patricia Howe (Shifrin); his nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Bryan, Joseph, Sean, Samantha, Tyler, Ariana and Eli; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Arlo James and Shia; his parents-in-law, Edward "Pop" and Dolores Quick; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl, Michelle, Rick, Edward, Kelly, Kathy and Rafi. He is also survived by many loving cousins and brothers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bailey's Garden Foundation, 116 Bascom Road, Lebanon, CT, 06249, Windham Dialysis Unit, Windham, CT, or Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Hartford, CT.

“I saw Jim for the first time in 20 plus years in Glastonbury as he was sitting in a cooler spot waiting for Mary- Grace about a month ago. We worked at Horace Porter so many years ago. Despite the many challenges that Mary-Grace and Jim faced, they faced them together with the love and support of family and friends. He spoke very proudly of his family, and about his goals of helping more people in the future. I pray that we all can find inspiration from his positivity and love.”
