She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Guillermo Oquendo and Carmen Hernandez of Puerto Rico; her children, Israel Rivera (Emily), Arnaldo Rivera (Alicia), Melvin Rivera, Edgardo Rivera, Walter Rivera (Mary), Hector Rivera (Mary) and Janice Nye (Jesse); and her siblings, Isabel, Trinidad Oquendo, Pedro and Heriberto Oquendo. She was also cherished by fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
